Job Description:
• Assist the Pharmacists in preparing, labelling, checking and dispensing medications for patients in accordance with physicians’ prescriptions.
• Assist in inventory stock management, e.g. recording and storage of stock, performing monthly stock expiry checking and stock audit, adhering to FEFO/ FIFO for stock replenishment and arrangement.
• Comply with hospital and departmental policies.
• Undertake other relevant tasks as may be directed by the Pharmacists from time to time.
Job Requirements:
• Recognised Diploma in Pharmacy.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy will be an added advantage.
• Familiar with drug name, brand name and calculation.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in prescription handling.
• Basic inventory management.
• Good interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work as a team and willing to work shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
• Bill and Invoice Processing: Accurately process bills and invoices, ensuring all information is entered into the billing system.

Skills and Competencies:

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle billing inquiries efficiently.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and billing software (an advantage).

• Medical Supply Recording: Accurately record medical supplies used in the ward into the system.
• Operation Theatre Charges Verification: Ensure that Operation Theatre charges are properly entered by the OT Clerk.
• Discharge Documentation: Forward discharge documents promptly to the Billing Clerk upon apatient’s discharge.
• Patient Communication: Attend to patient and family inquiries, particularly those related to billing issues.
• Clerical Support: Perform clerical and administrative tasks to maintain an organized ward environment.
• Coordination with Healthcare Staff: Communicate and collaborate effectively with nurses, doctors, patients, and family members to facilitate smooth ward operations.

Requirements:
• Degree in Optometry from a recognized medical college.
• Registered under the Malaysian Optical Council (MOC).
• At least one year experience as optometrist in eye hospital/clinic.
• Able to do pre and post-operative examinations for cataract surgery.
• Able to perform subjective refractions and conduct eye exams using biometric equipment and general diagnostic assessments such as visual field and keratometry.
• Pleasant personality and good communication skills.
• Able to work independently.
